Open Day at Phare Ponleu Selpak in Battambang<\/h2>\n

\"image007\"<\/a>Every Phare, The Cambodian Circus performer is a graduate (or future graduate) of Phare Ponleu Selpak<\/a>. The NGO school has been a breeding ground for arts and culture in Cambodia for the past 20 years. It provides public education to over 1200 students per year and also houses professional art schools in the areas of circus, theater, music, dance, and visual and applied arts.<\/p>\n

Each year Phare Ponleu Selpak opens its doors to present a huge day of student work, performances, and music. This year’s Open Day takes place July 8th from 8am -midnight at Phare Ponleu Selpak in Battambang. It’s free and open to the community.<\/p>\n

The annual Open Day is a chance to see the work of students from every level of the school.<\/p>\n

Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n

8:00am-10:45am: Opening performances & Graduation Ceremony
\nAll Day: Pedagogical demonstrations and art exhibitions
\n6:00pm-Midnight: Concert and DJ<\/p>\n

Experience performances from circus, music, dance, and theatre. View art exhibitions and interactive art workshops throughout the day, including traditional tattoo painting, and t-shirt printing. In the evening there will be a concert by music students and a DJ party into the night.<\/p>\n

Teachers will be on hand to meet interested students and parents and help register new students for the 2016\/2017 academic year. (Khmer below)<\/p>\n
