He is only in his mid twenties, but he\u2019s already a talented circus artist who does acrobatics, banqineu, hands balancing and clown acts. Being second born, Rotha comes from a big family with a total of nine brothers and sisters.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>How long have you worked at Phare?<\/strong><br \/>\nI started to study at Phare Ponlue Selpak when I was 16 yeas old, so in total I have been with Phare for eight years as a student and few years as a circus performer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell me about your family and life when you were young?<\/strong><strong>Where are you from?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was born in Takoe Province but my father and Mother sold our land at and we moved to Battambang. Once in bBattambang, we were given land from my grandmother to build a small house to live in together, My father is a construction worker and mother sells items at the market area .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7428 size-full alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/pharecircus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Pharecircus03_opt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>How did you first come to Phare Ponleu Selpak?<\/strong><br \/>\nI started out just going to the school to play because I like music , but after I got approved from teachers come to study music for one week. But I quickly noticed that music was just not my thing after all, and I decided to change my studies to circus with teacher Bun Thoeun.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your favorite show at Phare?<\/strong><br \/>\nOut of all of the shows that I performed in, Influence is my favorite. It&#8217;s different from the other shows and I like the mix of using puppetry and slow motion acts.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7427\" src=\"https:\/\/pharecircus.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Pharecircus02_opt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>What would you do if you weren&#8217;t an artist?<\/strong><br \/>\nI would just want \u00a0to try to study to improve my skills to be a better artist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your life like now outside of work?<\/strong><br \/>\nNow I\u2019m I-in a relationship and during my free time I go to Battambang for training and \u00a0to improve my skills.
